Leadership Academy

Team leadersFirst-line managersCoordinatorsAll industries

A programme for team leaders in any industry – in offices, retail, services, logistics, IT or administration. We teach them to lead people so that agreements are kept, the team takes responsibility, and the leader does not have to do everything alone. We work on situations from your company, not textbook examples.

Who it is for and what problem it solves

Authority without formal power

The leader is responsible for the team’s results but does not know how to enforce agreements without shouting or being everyone’s buddy.

The leader does everything

Tasks keep coming back to the leader, the team waits for decisions, and there is no time left for leading people.

Turnover and falling engagement

Good people leave, and fatigue and “not my job” attitudes grow in the team.

Tensions and difficult conversations

Conflicts within the team and between departments, and postponed conversations about mistakes and attitude.

What participants practise

The leader’s role

  • building authority and trust
  • situational leadership – adapting your style to the employee
  • communicating decisions and change

Difficult conversations

  • feedback and corrective conversations
  • responding to broken agreements
  • talking to an employee about attitude
  • resolving conflicts in the team

Managing the team

  • goals and delegation without micromanaging
  • everyday motivation and recognition
  • running effective team meetings

How the process works

1

Needs analysis

Interviews with management and HR, a survey or competency test for participants before the start, and gathering real situations from the company.

2

A tailor-made programme

Modules selected on the basis of the needs analysis; role-plays and case studies built on situations from your organisation.

3

Workshop modules

Practical sessions that fit the teams’ working rhythm; lots of exercises, little theory.

4

Implementation tasks

Between modules, leaders apply the tools in their teams and discuss the results at the next session.

5

Measurement and summary

A pre/post test or assessment, a report for HR and recommendations for further development.

What HR receives

Needs analysis report

A map of the leader group’s strengths and competency gaps.

Mini-report after each module

Attendance, participant ratings, key conclusions and risks.

Final report

Pre/post results, individual and group recommendations.

Materials for participants

A handbook and tools for everyday work with the team.

How we assess the results

Change in competencies

A pre/post test or assessment in the programme areas.

Team indicators

Agreed with HR: turnover, absenteeism, engagement, number of escalations – in the participants’ teams.

Implementation in practice

Completion of implementation tasks and feedback from the leaders’ own managers.

An example from one of our Leadership Academy programmes (pre/post measurement): communication from 40% to 98%, leadership from 32% to 92%, motivation and delegation from 64% to 91%, handling difficult conversations from 61% to 77%.

What does the first consultation look like?

A free, no-obligation conversation – by phone or online. All you need to know is what the problem is; we will work out the rest together.

30 minutes

You talk to one of our client managers, and a trainer joins if needed.

We ask about

who the development is for (roles, number of people, locations), what problem you want to solve, what has already been done, timing and budget.

Needs analysis

We investigate the problem thoroughly before proposing anything. We also use diagnostic tools such as the NESSE Competency Map®.

After the call you receive

a programme proposal with a schedule, a trainer recommendation, a way of measuring results and a quote.
